The Lock Up Flash Back
The Lock Up’s current space is iconic to the History of Newcastle NSW.
Completed in 1861, the Newcastle Police Station and Lock-Up serviced the city until its closure in 1982.
Maintaining title, The Lock-Up was reimagined in 2011, currently home to a contemporary art space featuring local and experimental art exhibitions. This space is one of Newcastle’s most significant heritage buildings.
